Pain Management

At Aspire Physiotherapy Bunbury we have extensive experience in the management of common musculoskeletal injuries such as sporting injuries or work-related injuries.

In most cases these injuries heal well and once the damaged tissue has repaired and strength, mobility and function has been regained, the pain will dissipate accordingly.

In some cases, however the pain can linger on and become persistent of chronic. If the pain has been present for more than three months or lasts beyond the normal tissue healing time, we call this chronic pain. Persistent pain conditions can be complex, with many factors often contributing to this pain state. Unfortunately, chronic pain is more common than once thought, it is estimated that 1 in 4 Australians suffers from chronic pain, and musculoskeletal conditions such as low back pain and osteoarthritis are common conditions that may result in chronic pain.
